Abstract:
Self-correction is the process by which students identify and correct their own errors. This process plays a key role in foreign language learning as it promotes independence and active reflection, which are essential factors for the development of language competence. Self-correction enables learners to take responsibility for their learning, motivates them to better understand errors and helps to eliminate them. In the context of foreign language learning, self-correction provides an opportunity for immediate reflection and improvement of language skills, thereby increasing the effectiveness and long-term success of learning. Autocorrection is an invaluable tool in foreign language teaching, not only for improving language skills, but also for building students' self-confidence and motivation. The analysis of didactic materials revealed that the principles of autocorrection are currently not sufficiently integrated into educational programmes, creating space for innovation in this area. Based on these findings, we have proposed didactic materials and games that actively incorporate autocorrection and provide students with the opportunity to actively reflect on and improve their language skills. These tools are an effective way of improving language teaching and creating a positive and motivating learning environment.
