Abstract:
The reality of the 21st century forces us to adjust to rapidly changing conditions. The rate at which we move is dangerous for future functioning of the world. We should slow down from time to time to think about the purpose that we pursue, the measures we have already taken to achieve it and whether we are really moving in the right direction, whether the context in which we act is still the same and whether the consequences of our activities are not negative. The world of the 21st century needs to stop from time to time and redefine its objectives.
Reflection can be learnt at any time in our lives, but the sooner the better, which is why it is so important to practise this useful skill from the earliest years. School may also create an ideal space to learn self-evaluation.
The purpose of this article is to reflect on self-evaluation in learning viewed on three levels: self-evaluation of students, teachers and the school as an institution based on data gathered during external evaluation. Keywords:
Self-evaluation, process, growth, skills needed in the 21st century.
