Abstract:
The importance of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art / Design, Mathematics) education is emphasized in Lithuania since 2014. National educational documents state that the learning environment at school should enable students to actively learn through practical and experimental activities using modern educational technologies. In this study, we sought to identify the challenges faced by science teachers in implementation of integrated STEAM education. The study aims to highlight science teachers' views on how integrated STEAM education should be delivered through innovative organization of educational process and the use of modern educational resources. Based on the results of theoretical review and empirical research, the recommendations for practical STEAM education implementation for a basic school were developed.
