Abstract:
The paper is devoted to the issue of preventive measures and primary prevention of risky forms of behavior in preschool children. We consider the chosen topic to be very topical and important, because already in the period of preschool age in institutionalized education it is necessary to start shaping the attitudes and competencies of children in this area. The article offers an overview of what risk forms the teacher encounters in the performance of his profession in kindergarten, what methodological support he knows and uses in this issue, and what preventive measures he applies in the primary prevention of risk forms.

In the first part of the article we approach the issue of risky behavior, the importance of measures and the importance of primary prevention in the environment of kindergarten. We also bring information on how the issue of preventive measures is enshrined in the Framework Educational Program for Preschool Education in the Czech Republic.

The second part of the paper is devoted to research, where we prefer the methodology of qualitatively oriented research. The main goal of the research was to find out what preventive measures teachers in kindergartens use for the primary prevention of risky forms of behavior in children. The partial goals were to find out what teachers have experience, what different methods, strategies of form, or what methodology they use in the implementation of primary prevention of risky forms of behavior, what the cooperation of family and kindergarten looks like when this phenomenon occurs and with other institutions.

The research sample consisted of kindergarten teachers who were subject to deliberate selection. Respondents participating in the research had experience with the implementation of prevention of risky behavior in kindergartens and their length of teaching practice was at least three years. The main method for us was the implementation of a structured interview. Each interview was subject to subsequent coding and qualitative interpretation of the results obtained.
