Abstract:
The ongoing transformation of technology, society, and education emphasizes the need for a human-centered approach to innovation, designed to respond to complex societal challenges through the fusion of digital technologies and human values. This study describes the development process for the European Universtiy of Technology (EUt+) pedagogical framework, a comprehensive and transformative model for higher education, specifically developed to address the evolving demands of the 21st-century global economy and the pressing need for university graduates with adaptive competencies.

The EUt+ (https://www.univ-tech.eu/) is an alliance of nine technological universities from across Europe united by the desire to create a fundamentally new university that is highly inclusive, active both locally and at the European level, and generates outstanding achievements and added value for European society, economy, and culture. The pedagogical framework, collaboratively developed across the nine universities that comprise the EUT+ alliance, employs the Successive Approximation Model (SAM), an agile, iterative design process that emphasises early prototyping, frequent feedback, and continuous improvement. At its core, the framework establishes the learning experience design that is fundamentally student-centered, and collaborative. It operates on the philosophy that learning is an inherently social process, emphasizing interaction, communication, teamwork, and peer engagement to transform education into a shared, practical experience that involves both the academic and broader community. As it is actively tested and implemented across the EUt+ alliance, the framework continues to evolve through evidence-based evaluation, ensuring its effectiveness in preparing adaptable, socially responsible graduates equipped to thrive in a modern society.
