Abstract:
During this workshop, we will discuss different learning needs of students with learning difficulties and we will explore the pertinency and the added asset of various functions of technological support connected with these needs. These demonstrations will be supported by the contribution of recent research. We will present examples of how and when to use the different learning tools in order to guide participants in their choice of learning tools and their different uses.

Mrs. Brigitte Stanké has most of the time worked as speech language therapist in schools with a population having serious apprenticeship in written language troubles. She is teaching at UQTR. For about ten years, she is giving education on written language. She is the author of several books and games aiming on the development of written language.

Since 2005, Madeleine Fauteux is a pedagogic counsellor in academic adaptation. She intervenes principally with students having a specific trouble of reading and writing (dyslexia-dysorthographia), at the primary and secondary levels. She takes principally an interest in technical learning tools and their pedagogic exploitation.
