Abstract:
This study is focused on the diffusion of e-learning research and the trends of e-learning technology environment. Bibliometric is the method used to study or measure texts and information, this study will use the bibliometric method to descript the growth of the literatures and citation, document type, publication countries, subject area, keyword analysis are addressed. Text mining is a burgeoning new field that attempts to glean meaningful information from natural language text. Focusing on the diffusion of e-learning research, this study will use the bibliometric method to descript the distribution of authors and journals. The text mining techniques, furthermore, will be used to extract implicit knowledge of e-learning literature. The relative literature is collected by querying the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) and Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E) of ISI Web of knowledge database. This database can be much easier to collect the e-learning literatures in academic papers. Data from citation indexes can be analyzed to determine the popularity and impact of specific articles, authors, and publications. The abstracts of collected literatures will analyze with text mining techniques. Moreover, the influence of time and technology variation will investigate through the fashion keywords querying. The results will provide the distribution of core authors and journals, and depict the trends and feature of e-learning research. Keywords:
e-learning, bibliometrics, text mining.
