Abstract:
Millions of young people worldwide are unemployed because jobs that employers have do not match the talent available. Such is a challenge that is partly because of misalignment between youth skills and employer needs. The problem, if not indifferent, is probably the same as the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). Changing society, economy, work, and personal lives through physical wealth and digital technology are every day worldwide. For the nearly two billion youth currently around the world, who are between the age group of fifteen and thirty, this industrial revolution will suggestively impact their roles as workforces, consumers, and competitors of the future. With Industry 4.0 transforming businesses and jobs faster than workers can adjust, many employers worldwide are already struggling with the mismatch between youth skills and employer needs.
