Abstract:
In the present society technological innovations are playing significant role in every phase of human life, human interaction with machines has become essential in all sectors. Higher education is the fastest growing segment in India. Higher Education Market is estimated to grow three fold in the next 10 years to cross the $ 20 Billion mark

Purpose: The purpose of the research is to study the emerging technologies in the Higher education and also make an in-depth analysis of the consumers ie students and the faculty views on the hindrances and the advantages of increasing usage of technology in the teaching- learning process.
Research Methodology:
This is an Exploratory as well as a Descriptive study. Data is collected from the technology developers, students and faculty into Higher education in Pune, India. Both qualitative and quantitative methods have been used to analyze the data. The study focuses on the factors like: Awareness of the technological changes amongst faculty, ease of use of technology, access and acceptability of technology, costs involved, and relationship between technology and affectivity of the teaching - learning process.
Research Value: The research makes a significant contribution by analyzing the view points of all stakeholders. The researchers have generated a framework which will help technology developers to develop customized solutions which in turn will increase their efficiency. Keywords:
