Abstract:
The subject ”Statistics 1011” is part of the second year of the degrees in Business Administration, Economics and Finance and Accounting that is taught at the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences at the Jaume I University of Castellón. This subject consists of a theoretical part where basic theoretical concepts are explained, a problem part where these concepts are put into practice and a laboratory part where software is used to work with a larger volume of data.

The general objectives sought during this action have focused on three aspects: In the first place, it seeks to improve the motivation of the students for the subject, in a way that that improve their academic results, secondly, increase the involvement of students regarding academic results, and, lastly, to improve student satisfaction regarding of the subject.

Likewise, it seeks to meet the two specific objectives that are, on the one hand, the use of collaborative learning structures during theory classes in order to facilitate a better assimilation of the key concepts of the subject and on the other, the accompaniment students during the semester through effective feedback. The improvement targets are quantified through the attendance to the partial, the average grade of the students and the survey of past satisfaction to students.
