Abstract:
Digitalization is an important process that has reached a very high level of its development in recent years and has made a major contribution to the development of information systems and platforms. Through the process of digitization, we have the ability to transform all physical objects into digital objects and thus use them for different purposes and needs. The use of digital models expands the possibilities for research, development, design, training and testing of objects and enables the achievement of a very productive and effective level of learning and teaching.

According to current trends and research, the educational process is increasingly directed towards digitalization, virtual classrooms and electronic environments. Lessons are very actively developed and implemented in an electronic environment, often simulated. These lessons are usually related to the use of digital educational resources.

This article presents a study on the main three-dimensional technologies for creating and presenting objects: scanning, modeling and printing. Methods for the application of each of the technologies are presented, as well as measures developed in a real environment and adapted for educational purposes. Techniques and systems for 3D scanning, software for processing and modeling of 3D objects, as well as methods and techniques for 3D printing are described. The presented results are a digital 3D model of an object, created by using a 3D scanner, modified 3D model of the same object using application software and printed model after modifications.

Thus developed, digital educational resources can be easily modified and distributed, both among students and educators. Examples for application of the resultant models in different subject areas of the education have been presented. The presented educational resources and the methods for their creation can be widely used in modern and modern education, as well as in various other problem areas such as engineering, design, prototyping, archaeology and others.
