Abstract:
The article discusses the problems of computer dependence of first-year students. The pre-test diagnosis shows that 86.25% of college students (n = 80) aged 16-18 can be classified as "at risk" with signs of computer dependence of varying degrees, from the stage of enthusiasm, the so-called attachment ( "Adherence" to dependence) and ending with the first stage of dependence, suggesting the need for rehabilitation.

To overcome computer dependence, the authors selected techniques for primary prevention: information and employment technologies. The use of information technology meant increasing the competence of adolescents in such areas as the culture of interpersonal relations, communication technology, ways to overcome stressful situations, problems of addictive behavior. To this end, twice a week personal growth trainings were conducted with elements of correction of individual personality traits and behaviors that included the formation and development of working skills.

The use of training games and exercises aimed at personal growth and correction of individual personal characteristics and behaviors, as well as club work in sports sections (twice a week) and activities of active rest, contribute to positive dynamics in overcoming computer dependence of students of the college of physical culture.
