Abstract:
The concept of sport training technology conversion in order to enhance the efficiency of physical education of different age and demographic groups keeps on gaining acceptance. Modernization trends in school physical education are based on the changes in a federal curriculum framework and in curriculum patterns for the general education institutions of the Russian Federation. In accordance with the national program, the general education curriculum patterns have been augmented with the compulsory third Physical Education lesson in order to increase the students’ moving activity level, to develop their physical quality, to improve their physical fitness and to instill in students healthy behaviors. At the same time, ample research testifies that Physical Education lessons in school for a number of reasons fail to solve the task of the students’ health maintenance and promotion. The authors of the article believe that the lesson system will be more effective if the basics of a sport culture are formed in school students, and if adolescents are encouraged to attend specialized sports clubs. To realize this concept the authors have developed and introduced the module program of sport-oriented third Physical Education lessons in working practice of Chelyabinsk schools. The article proves the efficiency of the suggested program based on the dynamics of students’ physical fitness levels and the increased attendance of specialized sports clubs.
