Abstract:
Modern trends for standardization of educational process set requirements for learning outcomes and achievements: education is to result in personal, metasubject and subject growth, teach how to learn throughout life (form the system of universal learning actions), and provide certain experience of research and project work. The laid down requirements alternate in essence the teacher’s activity and change approaches to modern lesson planning: there has been a transition from lesson plans based on phasing, sequencing and mode shifting to technological charts which can be defined as a way of learning process graphic representation, a system which gives an opportunity to model a lesson with a set of goals, learning content, methods of teaching, to analyze effectiveness and rationality of the instruments used at each stage of the lesson. Lesson goals are specified in lesson tasks. The process of modeling a technological chart with the lesson goals and tasks is aimed at revealing skills to be developed at each lesson stage.

The presented research focuses on the process of teaching how to model a technological chart of a foreign language lesson as regards students’ undertaking their school teaching internship which provides interrelation of theoretical and practical training of would-be teachers and manifests principles of practice-oriented approach. In the course of school placement students acquire useful experience of teaching activities and educational work; their personalities’ professional orientation deepens and increases through intense development of professional pedagogical skills (organizational, communicative, gnostic and projective). Modeling a technological chart proves a reliable instrument for enhancing future teachers’ projective skills. A technological chart helps to teach how to design a foreign language lesson meeting modern requirements for learning outcomes and achievements.
