INTEGRATION OF STUDENT’S PORTFOLIO INTO ELECTRONIC EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract:
Educational trends in higher school suggest the individualization of the learning process. The variable part of the curriculum is expanded by various disciplines, often interrelated rather indirectly. With the introduction to educational process such a thing as an educational trajectory, when students get the opportunity to choose the disciplines from the variable part. In most cases, this task can be described as decision making under conditions of information uncertainty. Do not forget about potential employers. In conditions of tough competition in the labor market, highly specialized workers are often in demand. Selection of such vacancies is a nontrivial task.

The purpose of this work was to develop a system of personal accounts - a portfolio of students (PA) integrated with consolidated information system of educational organization (CIS) and with electronic educational environment (EEE) to increase the degree of students information certainty, and increase the openness and transparency of the educational process.

Designed PA of students consists of two parts: public and closed. In the open part of the PA, employers can familiarize themselves with the disciplines and competencies achieved by student in the process of learning within the educational trajectory, with his scientific interests, and can get links to articles in scientific journals. This open part is often named as the student portfolio.

In the closed part, the student can track the stages of the educational trajectory and choose the type of activities from the variable part of the work curriculum, get acquainted with the steering documents of the disciplines, with the schedule of classes, get a list of required documents, for example, an education services agreement, leave a request for a certificate, statement and etc.

The implementation of the students PA system in close connection with the organization EEE allows to solve the problem of the indirect formation of an educational trace during the learning path. In fact, the student’s portfolio is formed by divisions during the performance of their regular duties. For example, the contingent accounting, performance, the formation of a conference package. The integration of PA with CIS allows solving problems both with reducing information uncertainty, and ensuring information interaction between participants of the educational process in a synchronous or asynchronous mode.
