Abstract:

This research paper reflects on the role of the family in this age of diversity in the structure of family. It is important to reserch why family is important and what kind of family refelcts best performance in the development of a child; this is reflective educationally and cognitively.
Research questions such as Why is the family important? What studies reflect? How can practitioners learn from this research and how can parents learn to best educate their children.
In a time when family has become commonly a nuclear family, a single parent family, divorced familiy, joint custodial family, the inclusive family and the blended family etc. we need to know what is good for our children. In context of the global world becoming a very interactive place (due to the advancement of technology) parents all around the globe need to have their question answered as to what role they can play for the betteremnt of their child, the apple of their eye and their most valuable belonging.This question is at the heart of every parent.
