Abstract:
Proactive case study as participative research strategy is not a common methodology in qualitative research because it is always questioned the quality of data collected. In our study of behaviour of knowledge agents in cooperation as double loop learners with collective manner for generating knowledge, we designed a research model in which we developed a real world environment to collect data at an organisational learning workshop. A quality management model was introduced to ensure the quality of data in collecting and analysing process meets the academic requirements without sacrificing the practical consideration.
The main purpose of the paper is to discuss the considerations and implementation of quality management of such a research methodology. We carried out an industrial action research to study four organisations in the textiles and apparel industry and designed a structured organisational learning model with our quality management model to observe their learning behaviour in dealing with fast fashions manufacturing. The findings were convincingly met our quality requirements included validity, falsifiability and objectivity. Sampling method is a key factor influence the level of quality performance of data collection. The ambience of workshop is a fatal factor of the research methodology.
