DEVELOPMENT OF LOCAL WISDOM RESOURCE-BASED LEARNING MODEL WITH CLOUD TECHNOLOGY IN GAMIFICATION ENVIRONMENT TO DEVELOP COMMUNITY INFORMATION LITERACY FOR HIGHER EDUCATION LEARNERS IN THAILAND

Abstract:
The purposes of this research were:
1) to report a questionnaire-based quantitative study on assessing the students’ needs;
2) to estimate experts’ opinions; and
3) to develop a teaching-learning model using local wisdom-based learning resources with cloud technology in a gamification environment to promote information literacy in community contexts.
The sample participants included 508 undergraduate students studying in tertiary institutions affiliated with government universities in Rajabhat groups nationwide, and 7 experts. The research instruments relied on a needs assessment survey, an expert interview form, and a model evaluation form. The reliability of the instrument was 0.98. Data were analyzed with mean and standard deviation distributions. The needs index was analyzed by PNImodified method. The results obtained from the assessment of the needs and opinions of experts were developed to create a teaching and learning model.
The results of the development of teaching and learning models consisted of 5 components as follows:
1) learning activities based on local wisdom learning resources,
2) cloud technology tools,
3) gamification learning environment,
4) learning resources for local wisdom and
5) measurement and evaluation. The teaching management model was certified by 5 experts.Keywords:
