Abstract:
The design of materials based on different learning activities and forms of work is of great importance for the pre-service primary school teachers. Primary school pre-service teachers are trained and taught these skills in a variety of subjects, in science didactics, in general didactics and through their own practise in schools. Their studies also give them an insight into the work and content of Waldorf education. On this basis, the students independently developed materials in the 2024/2025 academic year based on the examples of good practises presented. In this contribution, we present an analysis of the materials that were developed based on the established criteria. The analysis shows which competences for teaching science content the students have developed so far and where there is still room for development. Prior to implementation, the students completed a short questionnaire on their knowledge of Waldorf education and their self-assessment of their own competences. This paper will outline how self-assessment of their competences for teaching science in primary school matches the demonstrated competences they identified from their materials.
