Abstract:
The globalization challenge and the need to response to every social, political and business demand that our environment is asking for, is stimulating the educational system, driving the universities to re-define its corporate strategies. The educational community has a primary role of training future professionals, but it has also the responsibility of creating and modelling the best people, human beings that can contribute to our future society welfare.

In order to do so, universities can not get away from real society requisites. There is a need to combine efforts, building up a common strategy that can include University, Companies, Society & Government (UCSG) agents into the educational process. UFV university has been working in this concept in order to respond the global society demands, looking for the common wealth, in the future.

The educational adapted UFV QUINTUPLE HELIX is based in a dynamic process that combines 5 main strategies, using a new method named “CICLIA” (Coaching, Investigation, Collaborative Learning, Impact and Action) that will connect every single agent (UCSG) by creating welfare synergy, which can have a real interaction and impact amongst themselves.

Technology & globalization are the main ways to reach this goal. Technology will bring up information and help communication process, and it will be applied on every updated format (webs, social networks, etc.) and a universal open mind structure, will make students capable of understanding future global society, which includes not only languages, but also cultural meanings.

Feedback, interaction, networking & crowd sourcing used as driving tools involving main actors (students & professors, businessmen, politicians, social agents) is already a new educational model at UFV, that will commit university students to understand how business, society and government are linked, and how can their educational & personal development contribute to create a better global society, in the close future.
