Abstract:
Animation films are one of the important materials for develpoing the cognitive, affective and psychomotor features for students in primary, secondary and high schools. Especially courses like history and geography, needs visual materials to support and feed their imaginations. Animation films can visualize the structure and locations which can't be possible to reach because of the geographical reasons.With the help of animation films, students can make an efficent watching, They can see the details, places, events, characters etc. in history or in geography. Today in developed countries history and geography teachers are using visual materials to visualize the course subjects. But in Turkey the rate of using such animation films in primary, secondary and high schools as an education material, is very low. In this context, this study was conducted to underline the importance of using animation films effectively for history and geography courses.
