Abstract:
This work can be classified within the framework of new learning experiences in Higher Education. An analysis of the used methodology is carried out in order to change the traditional teaching style for an obligatory subject, “Business Informatics” from the area of Business Sciences, which is focused on the Business Management Grade. This article presents the steps followed to achieve a more proactive learning style, with the aim to turn the students into the protagonists of their own learning process, engaging themselves in their own learning process. For this purpose the planning of the subject has been reestructured by focusing on proyect-based learning. A methodology which has its roots in constructivist theories, and bases the construction of new ideas on current and previous knowledge. Proyect-based learning supports on three main axes: communication, collaboration and critical thinking. Throughout the paper is detailed the previous baseline, the training received by teachers in participatory methodologies, as well as the planning followed so as to tailor the subject to the new approach. Finally it´s debated about the difficulties we have come up against, as well as the potencial observed after finishing the redesign phase.
