Abstract:
This research aims to explore trends in digital educational resources among students from high schools and faculties at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL). The main purpose is to focus on the students and approach their perception regarding the currently available resources, as well as to determine their general usage within the learning units they attend. This initiative is justified by the need to enhance the quality of the educational experience, adapting to the digital age, and providing students with modern pedagogical tools that foster more effective learning aligned with the demands of a constantly changing world. Emphasis is placed on the acceptance of various innovative technologies such as interactive presentations, virtual reality, augmented reality, interactive videos, simulators, and video games. The methodology implemented in this research follows a descriptive and quantitative approach, utilizing a questionnaire designed to gather data to help identify patterns and trends from a non-probabilistic sample. The results mainly reveal a willingness on the part of students towards increased use of digital educational resources in their educational context, as well as a preference for their utilization in both theoretical and practical learning units. However, a significant portion of students also indicates unawareness of the resources currently available at UANL. In conclusion, the findings support the importance of disseminating the existing resources in UANL repositories, as well as creating and implementing more interactive and innovative resources. Examples developed by the Digital Education Directorate (DED), a department of UANL working on academic programs with a multimodal approach, implementing didactic strategies and digital educational resources to facilitate rapid and quality learning, are highlighted. From this department, the importance of adapting the resource offerings to students' preferences and needs is emphasized, with the aim of creating an educational environment that promotes active participation and the development of skills relevant to their academic and professional surroundings.
