Abstract:
The article is an investigation into the issue of technical creativity development of teachers involved in primary education, with special attention to the supportive role of ICT. It focuses both on theoretical perspectives of ICT as a supportive element of creativity development, and on practical application of ICT tools in the reality of primary schools. In an effort to provide a more comprehensive view of how ICT is used at schools in the Czech Republic, we incorporated also the phase of initial preparation, that is to say further education of current teachers, following on their previous experience of similar stages of ICT implementation at schools and innovation in tertiary education. A proposal of a pre-research aimed at monitoring and identifying current trends in ICT use by full-time pedagogy students (as a new generation of teachers) and at matching their potential with generally characterized methods of developing students' technical creativity, is a part of the article, too.
