Abstract:
In recent years, e-Learning has become an innovative teaching method. The open-source platform Moodle, which is distinguished by its multiple functions and for its educational foundations, appears to be the ideal candidate for trials of various kinds. E-Learning platforms, generally, require large amounts of space to store multimedia files and require high-performance hardware to ensure service to a large pool of users, furthermore the high cost of storage devices makes it difficult to purchase for organizations with a limited budget. Technology of PVFS (Parallel Virtual File System) can make a valuable contribution in this context using existing resources not exploited efficiently. In this research, using a data grid created through the use of PVFS, we link a set of computers with free disk space making possible their use in place of an expensive high performance storage device and the reuse of existing resources in an environment of e-Learning with Moodle platform.
