Abstract:
Tiching is the union of a search engine of educational content and a social network dedicated only for the educative community:
• The access, dissemination and distribution of educational digital content.
• The internationalization of educational content.
• The centralization of all data on the educational world.
• The connection and communication between different actors in the educational world.
• Personalization of education.
Objective: The overall objective is being the online referral for educative community
Tiching also intended as a boost for the use of technology in education.
Target: Tiching is aimed at all school education community: teachers, students, parents, school psychologists, pedagogues, content producers, schools, associations, etc..
Tiching is a global project, is available for six countries (Spain, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru)
1. Allowing access, dissemination and distribution of educational digital content.
The search engine indexes all Tiching educational digital content available on the Internet.
All contents indexed in Tiching are classified according to educational criteria. These come from publishers, content producers, repositories, educational sites and the community of users that index content by themselves.
Teachers, students and their families can so easily access to hundreds of thousands of educational content rated and commented by the educational community. This process will simplify the work of teachers and students provide content with which learn and improve.
2. Internationalize educational content.
In Tiching, content made in a given country should be appropriate in other countries. This allows the community to have more educational content and keep in touch with other cultures and other ways to learn and educate, enrich the educational experience.
3. Share educational information.
Tiching social network allows the community to share and exchange any educational information. This enables formation and improved use of ICT, facilitating their study and daily work.
At the present stage of development, users can share content, links, questions, and educational events. As well as save and classified educational content to use at the school or home.
4. Having an educational digital identity.
Tiching allows users to have a specially adapted digital identity education. With this identity is to return each individual role of the education can gain prestige and position to the rest of the educational community. In Tiching, schools, associations, foundations, publishers and educational companies in the world may also have a digital identity that will allow them to be released or improve their online presence.
This means that Tiching offers personal and commercial information that can change many processes in the educational world. An example would be making decisions on what content to purchase or what school to choose for a child. Tiching is a site in which to learn concretely about the schools that exist in the world.
5. Educational information about people:
What content do you prefer?, What kind of educational information shared?, Where do they live?, which school you attend ?, Who are they related with?
Based on this information Tiching recommend to each user the content, educational questions and events to realize their educational and personal needs. This will allow such students to learn about their own educational and personal interests.Keywords:
