Abstract:
The aim of this work is to analyze the perception of Engineers concerning emotional capacities for the correct development of their professional activity.
We understand that these types of capacities are basic, as skills of practical character, among the set of global skills necessary to any Engineer.
The study has been carried out through a non probabilistic intentional sampling among the members of the Alumni Association in the Mining and Engineering School of Almaden.
The instrument is a closed response survey, designed ad hoc, with the purpose of learning the importance Engineers grant to emotional capacities (intra and interpersonal) in the development of their jobs.
The results of this study will allow us to conclude that emotional capacities are very well valued by active working Engineers, on the basis of their own experience and with a real, close and dynamic knowledge of the functions and responsibilities of their profession.
