Abstract:
Considering the current trends of globalization and the internationalization, learning a second language has become fundamental for the professional development of the students. That is why teaching and learning English has become a priority for the institutions of higher education. For this reason, education has the need to include all the techniques supported with technology that can help to improve the development of skills when learning a language. In this regard, different authors agree that the use of Information Technology and Communication (ITC) provides benefits to the learning process, such as a quick access to the moment the student is surfing on the web, having contact with the spoken language, developing skills for the use of technologies and making the students responsible of their own learning. Therefore, this research project intends to analyze if there are differences between developing oral skills learning the English language with the use of the ITC and Traditional classes. This is a quantitative methodology that allows us to know and prove in statistical ways the differences that exist in the variable. The type of study that is realized is descriptive-correlational due to the fact to search specific characteristics of the groups that will be subject to the analysis to gather information of a joint way and correlating the above-mentioned variables (use of the ICT-student learning), as well as to compare the above mentioned learning with the traditional way. The design of the investigation is an experimental type since it tries to realize a study of intervention in which a situation is generated to try to explain in which way the ICT influences the development of oral skills when learning English. Keywords:
