Abstract:
The Miguel Hernández University of Elche evaluates the satisfaction of the teaching staff of its master's degree programs by means of surveys, according to quality plans that are reviewed and approved every four years. The quality service of the UMH is responsible for developing and disseminating the two quality questionnaires for the teaching staff: first, a questionnaire about the degree of satisfaction with the quality and organization of teaching, academic satisfaction with the students and resources provided for the performance of their teaching work, and then another one on the degree of satisfaction with services.

In order to assess the satisfaction perceived by the teachers of the Occupational Risk Prevention Master of Miguel Hernandez University we present the evolution of results of these two questionnaires for the academic years from 2018-2019 through 2020-2021. In the last 2021-2022 academic year, the valid response rate was not reached.

The questionnaires were conducted through the virtual campus by accessing with a personal password. The questionnaire about teachers’ satisfaction with teaching included 11 items and the one about satisfaction with services included 10 items. The answer scale of items was formulated from 1 to 5 points: Very unsatisfactory (1); Unsatisfactory (2); Neither unsatisfactory nor satisfactory (3); Satisfactory (4) and Very satisfactory (5).

According to the results of teachers’ satisfaction with teaching questionnaire, we find that the average score of the different items was always higher than 4.3 (on a scale from 1 to 5), except item 6 "the academic level of the students is adequate to teach the subject" which in the 2018-2019 academic year was 3.95, which is logical due to the heterogeneity of the degrees that access the master's degree from different branches of knowledge. In general, the items scores increase throughout the period analyzed (2018-2021), showing the faculty's ability to adapt to all the changes that have occurred as a result of the pandemic situation due to COVID 19. In the 2019-2020 academic year, the maximum score of 5 was obtained in three of the items evaluated: "during the classes there has been a good working environment between students and teacher"; the coordination of the course has contributed to my teaching task" and "the subject is correctly placed in the curriculum".

As for the teachers' satisfaction with services, results also show an increase in the average scores of the items throughout the period studied, going from an average of 4.12 for all items in the 2018-2019 academic year to 4.48 in the 2020-2021 academic year, in which every item exceeded the score of 4 (range 4.10 to 4.73). As it is a master's degree that is taught in its online modality, the most important items that have been most highly valued by the teachers are those related to the management of the UMH computer network, the library and CEGECA, especially taking into account the emergence of the C 19 pandemic throughout the period under evaluation.

In conclusion, the satisfaction of teachers involved in Occupational Risk Prevention Master of Miguel Hernandez University is very high and it has been improving during the period 2018 to 2021 around the COVID 19 pandemic.
