Abstract:
After a needs analysis for the teaching staff of the University of Ghent, the institution decided to invest in the development of a knowledge database. This database would unlock information for the teaching staff and support them in their professional development.

The database consists of different web pages about teaching- and evaluation methods but also a wide range of information that is relevant for teachers at the university of Ghent. The element of interaction is procured by different kinds of MC-test, video’s and the possibilities for the visitors to grade the offered information.

This poster session will focus on the crucial elements of the development of a knowledge database and the different web pages. On the other hand the session will focus on the key-elements of communication about this database. This communication is critical to encourage teachers to use this database for their professional development.
