Abstract:
This Project shows the role of the Academic Tutorials on the development and reinforce of the Flexible Integral Educational Model (MEIF) by the Universidad Veracruzana. It begins with a short review of the program and then a final conclusion that involves some recommendations that might have an influence on the student´s decisions about subjects (which are called “Educational Experiences” by the Universidad Veracruzana). We can also emphasize its relevance when students come to graduate successfully.

We may ask two questions regarding this matter:
• Are Tutorials as critical factor for students to graduate as they could be considered as an average time frame?
• What is the part that the Tutorials in both Administration and Odontology Schools have played in order to strengthen the Flexible Integral Educational Model?

To cover the demands of the globalized world, Universidad Veracruzana required to operate a change in their plans and programs of study which gave rise to the Comprehensive and Flexible Educational Model. In 1996, it was gradually incorporated in various faculties.

The transition to this new model is aimed at the formation of the student. It is proposed that students take their learning responsibility through the selection of Educational Experiences (E.Es).

The tutor's role arises from the need to have an academic support to guide students at the Faculty. Mentoring activities are aimed at supporting students in all aspects involved in their academic activities through Institutional Tutoring System.

The tutorial system can recognize different actors whose actions and disposition stems program success: administrative staff, managers, tutored, tutoring coordinators, tutors and advisors.
