FORMATION OF NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL NETWORK OF ACADEMIC BODIES AND RESEARCH GROUPS IN DENTISTRY

Abstract:
Currently in Mexico, the national education policies have aimed to promote and support new ways of stimulating the generation and application of knowledge, promoting the creation of Academic Bodies (AB) in public institutions of higher education in order to strengthen dynamic academic supported collaborative work that is manifested in the structuring and consolidation of disciplinary teams.
According to official documents, AB are defined as: a set of teacher-researchers who share one or more lines of research (study), the objectives and goals are for the production and/or application of new knowledge, further that through its high degree of specialization, teaching exercise ensemble members to achieve quality education (Faculty Improvement Programme, PROMEP).
These working groups or AB should develop collaborative work in which they are asked to work in networks, so the AB Dentistry Area have decided to make academic meetings in which they can shape and strengthen these networks, which are necessary to strengthen them.
The AB "Education, health and oral epidemiology" CA-UV-288 and "Comprehensive Community Health" CA-UV-253, University of Veracruz in Veracruz Region, presented an effort to achieve development in shaping their work networks collaborative initially constituted from a multidisciplinary network within the institution itself, which reflects the product of research that address health needs and care social and educational problems in the region real.
And then the work is aimed at developing research projects that have allowed Networks Area form of dentistry, with the active participation in national meetings have been organized by AB from prestigious universities in the country (AU Sinaloa, UANL, UA Nayarit, UASLP). However, it is necessary that these investigations achieve quality products and encourage the internationalization of such networks, in order to transmit and share scientific knowledge with peers from different places, that enable us to solve real dental health problems in the world, with attention multidisciplinary. This in turn will allow the consolidation of AB and strengthening research in the Dental Area.Keywords:
