Abstract:
Quality training aligned with the current needs of water companies is a basic pillar for the future of the sector. The educational innovation project Hydraulic Test Bench for the Digitalization of Water, carried out collaboratively by an educational centre that teaches vocational water training cycles with the support of a leading company in the urban water cycle, allows training in water digitalization to be added through design, assembly and commissioning of a pilot plant equipped with sensors in such a way that it allows to carry out, in addition to the typical hydraulic tests, the performance of tests of indefinite duration that propose different simulations of the operation of a water network so that the installed sensors allow the monitoring of flows, pressures, temperature, levels, etc. at various points of the network in order to obtain parameters for the efficient management of a network through their analysis.
The project is conceived from a Project-Based Learning approach to which the Global Collaborative nuance is added as it promotes the collaboration of students in the 1st and 2nd year of the degree of technician in water networks and water treatment facilities and the degree of technician in water management requiring the comprehensive mobilization of diverse knowledge and skills in order to achieve the objectives of the project.
The result obtained constitutes an innovative training resource in water management as an experimentation plant and as a source for the planning of practical redesign and assembly activities for future classes of students. Keywords:
