Abstract:
The importance of achieving high levels of efficiency in the performance of any organization is closely related to the measurement of performance indicators of its executives, what does not exclude to the university field, especially when the final assessment is a decision which involves several reviewers, same as before the revision of different attributes and the existence of different criteria may lead to confusion and ambiguity distant to a desired approval. Given this occurrence, it is important the application of tools to ensure optimum results in this field. AHP or Analytical Hierarchy Process by its initials in English, it represents an interesting application tool to standardize the involved criteria, that finally facilitate the choice of the best decision alternative to guarantee better performance evaluations in the university field, which subsequently contribute to evaluate the performance in the entire organization.

With the use of AHP, this paper proposes a tool that strengthens the performance evaluation by standardizing the different weights handled in the entire process.
