Abstract:
The aim of this Project was to analyze the results of a new teaching methodology in the subject of Pathophysiology (subject included in third year of the Bachelor of Pharmacy, University of Seville). The number of students was 593, divided into 4 groups. The project involves the elaboration and development of several program items by students, as new method of learning. Every issue individually worked by the studens was supervised by the teacher in group tutoring. With this activity the students got to make a full and intensive analysis of those items, in order to interpret, compare information, reflect, complement and integrate knowledge about Pathophysiology. The result of this new methodology shows that the incorporation of this activity in Pathophysiology teaching benefit to the students in both improving the participation in class and knowledge of Pathophysiology, as well as in getting better marks. In other hand, through a survey, the students have shown their satisfaction with the new methodology and they appreciate the experience.
