Abstract:

At present many students do not feel motivated or do not find any interest in learning following a traditional way. Therefore, researchers in the field of education are constantly exploring new ways to improve learning by creating innovative tools such as podcasts and interactive media to access information and learn in a more visual and interactive way.

Innovative tools are often interactive and encourage student participation. The activities that include these tools can be simulations, interactive games, quizzes, and digital cards. One of these innovative tools is Quizlet, which allows users to create and study with digital flashcards that can be used to review vocabulary, concepts, and other types of information for different subjects and disciplines.

The objective of this study is to verify what benefits, both for students and teachers, the use of Quizlet can generate in Computer Networks courses. The result of this research showed that the greatest benefit for students was an increment of their class participation by increasing their motivation, because of better retention and understanding of numerous Network concepts; In the case of teachers, by providing immediate feedback, it allows them to evaluate students’ progress and correct errors in a timely manner, thus facilitating and improving the learning process.
