Abstract:
The railway transport is one of the main transport systems in Europe. The quality of transport continually requires higher demands. However, in the rail sector begins to demonstrate significant lack of professionas for the management of the transport processes. This lack of specific training of people has resulted in an increase of mismanagement, decreasing the overall quality and finally reduction of the customer satisfaction in rail transport in general. This problem can be partially eliminated by a change in teaching methods, which are used for the correct management decisions in the rail sector.
The management problems in the rail sector are also reflected in changes in teaching methods and didactical approaches. Teaching of technical subjects is a very complicate and complex process. There is demand on logical thinking and imagination. The paper deals with the possibilities of using simulation tools to improve the preparation of students in the field of railway sector. These innovative approaches to teaching of specific subjects should be gradually establish themselves in the standard teaching process. Active using of the simulation tool in the teaching of modelling of transport and transport processes is of great importance for understanding of the synergies activities in transport process. Simulation enables direct visualization and such facilitate the understanding of the activities and feedbacks between them.
