Abstract:
This research proposes a strategy to improve the monitoring and measurement of the transition rates to higher education of graduate students of educational institutions in the official sector of the city of Barranquilla.

Through the intervention of students in classrooms in different schools action learning was implemented to develop a project articulated. Survey analysis was perfomed with the help of undergraduate students in the Industrial Engineering program of Universidad del Atlantico to help them to understand how to work with real data problems.

The project allowed the identification of problems and opportunities that students experience in their transit to undergraduate education and training through a statistical model and teh usage of technological tools.

The research used a mixed approach through the analysis of quantitative and qualitative variables. The variables were analyzed in the context of students close to graduating from high school without the intervention of external factors or experimental modifications.

The study included the development and planning of a series of activities that in synergy with the use of a tool designed to facilitate the management of information, will make possible to improve the process of bringing educational opportunities closer to graduates of the official sector of Barranquilla.
