Abstract:
Emerging technologies on manufacturing have change the scenario in which engineering students are ending the studies.
The usual time involved from the launching and spreading of new technologies in industry to the inclusion of that in university programs is a critical aspect for a rapid spreading of new approaches in all kinds of companies.

On the contrary if university is close to new technologies the new student will be not agent of innovation in SME companies. Three aspects are basic in the new approach, a) to include a 15% of new technologies in the regular lectures of manufacturing technologies, b) to offer student the possibility to participate in research projects as assistants, and c) professor must attend the industrial exhibitions to collect information, pictures, and videos to use real and current technology information. Doing that students will have an open mind to technological changes and innovation.
