Abstract:
In the context of the INNOVATIVE TEACHING ACROSS CONTINENTS - UNIVERSITIES FROM EUROPE, CHILE AND PERU ON AN EXPEDITION Project, Erasmus + Capacity Building in Higher Education (598758-EPP-1-2018-1-AT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP), one of its main purposes is to innovate in teaching through the integration of new technologies for digital transformation in higher education institutions. In this context, the objective of this article is to describe the educational experience of interactive video-seminars whose central topic of discussion were the current challenges for teaching and learning in higher education. Through a cycle of webinars with four themes, an interaction was established with a number of participants that fluctuated between 279 to 313, whose profile corresponded to professors from 3 universities in Chile and 3 in Peru. The main results revealed that teachers today require more digital tools as an educational resource, both at the methodological and evaluation levels. Likewise, they need to have strategies that make it possible to maintain interaction in virtual learning spaces, together with better management of time and technical resources. In conclusion, this educational experience contributed to the discussion of the current scenario of university teaching, considering as the main challenge that teachers transition from traditional teaching to one that integrates virtual learning environments.
