Abstract:
TICómetro is an instrument developed by the Coordination of Technologies for Education from the General Direction of Computing and Technologies for Information and Communication at Digital Skills in the Open University System, at Psychology Faculty at National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), which purpose is to evaluate the skills in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) of the students at the first semester of the bachelor's degree. The questionnaire has 20 context questions and 30 questions to establish the level of ICT of each student. who received a result through a color ribbon.

In the Psychology Faculty at UNAM, the TICómetro has been applied to students of the Open University System (in Spanish call SUA - Sistema de Universidad Abierta) since the generation of 2016 (who starts studying in august of 2015). This paper reports the track that the Department of the Open University System has done to make students solve actively the TICometro; also to show the findings of the last five generations in the topics like ICT access, information processing, information research, collaboration and communication, and security.
