Abstract:
During the academic course 2010-2011, the educational multidisciplinary team of the Faculty of Pharmacy from the University of Granada, constituted by 9 expert professors and 11 young lecturers, belonging to the Departments of Physiology, Pharmacology, Food Science and Nutrition, Microbiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, has organized diverse activities related to multimedia educational resources. The developed activities have been:
- Use and applications of the web platform for educational management (SWAD) developed in the University of Granada, increasingly used by professors and students in bachelor degrees, postdoctoral degrees, plans of tutorial actions, mobility, etc. This platform is a very interesting way of communication between professor and student, which allows upload educational original on-line material, asking questions, to expose criteria of evaluation, to propose activities, etc.
- Integrated learning and multimedia tools: theoretical / practical seminar taught by an experienced professor with a wide knowledge in this field, from the University of Salamanca where this experience has been developed and performed during long time. It consists of combining diverse resources like schemes, conceptual maps, video recording, images, etc., to teach theoretical or practical classes and on-line seminars by means of an interactive DVD that contains all the information.
- Implementation of the PC tablet in the university classroom, which allows to integrate the advantages of the use of the traditional slate and the PowerPoint presentations in the theoretical and practical classes.
- Skills in communication focused on the employment of these new multimedia resources.

These activities have been very interesting for all the members in the team, taking into account the multidisciplinary character, allowed us to search for new applications and uses, checking the usefulness of this interactive method.
