Abstract:
In my Culture of Spain course there is no book because students create the content for this class with my guidance every semester. Students need to find, analyze, synthetize and present information from all sorts of aspects of the culture of Spain. I give them assignments about geography, festivities, food, cities and their monuments, artists and writers from all different times, history, politics and so on. The source of all content is the Internet. I flipped the classroom because the whole course is in the hands of the students and the information they teach to his/her classmates. During the semester, students lean to use different technological resources such as: i-movies, wemovies.com, VoiceThread, Moodle, Youtube, wikis and so on. Apart from the skills objectives mentioned above related to managing information, students acquire skills such as: problem solving, communication, thinking critically and creatively, working cooperatively and learning effectively.

In this presentation I plan on explaining the creative projects I have developed with the use of the digital story telling (wemovies.com), VoiceThread, Moodle and wiki. My goals with all these different technologies have been to reinforce the personal skills mentioned before and to enhance oral proficiency and cultural awareness. All the projects I will talk about during my presentation can be easily tailored to different topics and classes, so after my presentation, all attendees will be able to incorporate the different programs and projects to their own students.
