Abstract:
The technology revolution has led in recent years a transformation in certain modes of art production and, simultaneously, in the way of understanding the space for display and teaching relating to that area.
Access to the museum takes a different dimension. The spread of Internet art are two possibilities: interactivity and the removal of physical barriers. Virtual museums are open to anyone, accessible and relatable.
New students of Fine Arts Degree require renovated spaces and alternative strategies to accommodate their exhibition proposals. New information technologies offer students and teachers an opportunity to meet these requirements, giving a new twist to the teaching of Fine Arts in these matters.
Phase II Virtual Museum, University of Murcia, UMUSEO offers the possibility of creating a virtual exhibition project specific basis of a particular discourse. This utility allows its implementation as a teaching tool in Fine Arts degree in which students can submit projects for this room virtual exhibition being capable of being mentored and evaluated by the teacher taking advantage of the opportunities presented by new technologies.
