Abstract:
The last policy changes in the field of education have prioritised the key competences assignment done by students; this entails a change in the methodology and assessment tasks for the teacher. New technologies offer tools that can ease this task that, in many occasions can be a tedious work. That is why the objective of this experience is to describe the design and usefulness of a digital tool to carry out course syllabus in Primary Education, incorporating an easy and objective assessment of the key competences. This study describes the different parts of the tool and its possible uses. We will focus on the competence assessment section and the advantages that its use can entail; for example, it facilitates the teachers’ team work and the adequate organization of the information. The main contribution is that it allows gathering the assessment information in an interdisciplinary way, because, by means of different formulas, it facilitates a global assessment of each competence, relating the assessment learning standards of all the subjects through a competence profile. This is a free tool and it doesn’t require the use of paper, so it allows to store large amounts of data over time It also permits an easy and fast access to it. The disadvantage is that users need to have a basic knowledge about Excel for optimum performance of this tool.
