Abstract:

Technology continues to influence educational administrators’ decisions and actions as they lead instructors in effective quality virtual learning deliveries. Andragogy, continuous education, and technology have to be in partnership to deliver quality results, as well as engage learners. To maintain quality results instructors’ knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies must be enhanced. Enhancements have to be in the areas of virtual understanding and technique application as technologies continue to evolve. This presentation reviews how distance education wrapped in andragogy, continuous education, and technology can support enriched learner engagement, enhance facilitator development, and drive departmental practices towards a model of best practices. Additionally this presentation will examine the intertwinement of learner perceptions, policies and procedures, on andragogy, continuous education, technology, and how these points affect learning outcomes. Participants will inform their methods around leveraging technologies to shape perceptions, improve and sustain quality results, and augment learner engagement.
