Abstract:
Today, digital platforms have become a widely used resource in education. On the other hand, there are more and more start-ups betting on e-learning as a model of virtual education. This article analyzes the results of a systematic review of the scientific literature, carried out in the Web of Science database with the purpose of answering two questions: Do scientific articles on e-learning include start-ups? And if they do, in what ways are start-ups evident? The search was carried out from 2010 to 2021, from the descriptor "start-up", refined by "e-learing". From a total of 70,808 articles, and after applying some inclusion and exclusion criteria, the search was reduced to 9 articles that, after being reviewed and read, ended up in a selection of 3 high-impact articles. This shows that in the fields of education and start-ups "e-learning" is not considered important, and that the articles selected in other fields focus more on entrepreneurship models. It is concluded that there is a broad path to develop research that analyzes start-ups focused on "e-learinng" as an educational model.
