Abstract:
Introduction:
The e-learning platform "Dermatology Online with Interactive Teaching (DOIT)" (www.cyberderm.net ) is a free of charge, multilingual (7), case based, interactive, entertaining e-learning platform, featuring many audio-visual modules. It is run since 2000 by >90 contributors from >40 Universities, has received several international awards and is used by >33'000 students from >330 Universities in >75 countries.

The platform:
The structure of the platform follows five logic steps to easy learning:
- Orientation: Cyberskin is a topographical guide through the structures of the skin
- Learning: Cyberlecture covers 190 diagnoses, weighed according to their level of importance: A Know and Care; B Know and Care with Guidance; C Know and Refer.
- Training: Cybertrainer is a case based (>130) interactive exploration on diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Testing: Cybergames (3) provides entertaining knowledge assessment with feedback (>1’000 MCQ)
- Recapitulation: Cyberpod (112) recapitulates the contents of the lectures in a very condensed version of 3-5 minutes each.

The 10 major chapters comprise 34 sub-chapters, interactively covering 190 diagnoses in Wiki-style providing information on ICD-11 number, Synonyms, Epidemiology, Definition, Aetiology & Pathogenesis, Symptoms, Localisation, Classification, Laboratory & other Workups, Dermatopathology, Course, Complications, Diagnosis Differential Diagnosis, Prevention & Therapy.

Additional functionalities include: primary and secondary Basic Lesions, Image Gallery comprising >2’000 high quality pictures of dermatoses on white and on dark skin, Links to additional open access resources and to review articles (PDF), code protected Lecture Documents for individual universities, Personal Notes, Mobile Apps for Android and iOS.

Conclusion:
The platform www.cyberderm.net is an ideal, structured, interactive, and entertaining tool for online learning and recapitulating Dermatology and Venerology for under- and postgraduates.
