Abstract:
Introduction:
Teaching and learning are two sites of the same coin. The classical strategies of teaching and learning can no longer cope with the increasing amount of knowledge, the increasing number of students at stable or declining amount of resources.

Materials and methods:
DOIT (Dermatology Online with Interactive Technology: www.cyberderm.net; see Demo-button on the platform) is a free of charge, multilingual, interactive, entertaining e-learning platform primarily designed for undergraduate students, but also used by postgraduate, non-dermatology specialists and general practitioners. DOIT provides an abundantly illustrated, didactic guide to a physiologic, stepwise learning and training Dermatology with feedback.
Blended learning in the converted/flipped classroom concept combined with artificial intelligence based adaptive learning offer new perspectives to overcome these difficulties.
A new concept is presented for switching from classisal teaching and learning format to a structured interactive format, which considers the individual background of the heterogenous group of students, using Audience Response System (ARS).

Results and Discussion:
The Erasmus+ project of the European Dermatology Forum (EDF; https://www.edf.one/en/) for harmonizing teaching and learning Dermatology (hEduLearnIt; https://www.hedulearnit.org/), which will be presented, aims to shape the future of teaching and learning Dermatology in Europe.
