Abstract:
The explosive development of information technology and Internet as culmination of that development has strongly influenced children worldwide, even in our country. Through various researches conducted all over the world, we can see that: the number of children Internet users increases every day, children often know much more about computers and Internet than their parents and teachers do, children use both a computer and Internet for educational purpose, but more for amusement and playing games. A few years ago, an increasing problem accurred: „Has Internet use among the school children in Serbia extended enough so that we can start using the advantages of new technology for educational purpose and development of a new culture of communication and learning among children?“ For this reason form 2014. A research titled „Elementary school children in Serbia – Internet users“ was conducted. A large sample research of about 2077 pupils contributed to getting a better picture of the current situation, and with such results, we can talk about Internet use in the classroom and e-learning. Much of our hypothesis was proved, what will be shown in the review through domains of our research.
